Being both a camper and counselor at Camp Alta Mons have been some of the best experiences of my life and in my faith. My name is Michael Bingham and I am going to be the Cookout Coordinator for the 2015 summer camp season. Alta Mons has been my spiritual home away from home for all the years I've spent in its loving and exciting neck of the woods. It has shown me the immensity of God's love through the wonderful connection to the earth and the embracing people who have shared their time with me. The games and challenges I faced as a camper, such as low ropes and capture the flag, have taught me many things about teamwork and relying on others that I still use today and will continue to use for the rest of my life. As a counselor, taking care of new campers was an absolute privilege. Showing them the wonders of God's creation in nature and His love in worship was a true pleasure that I will remember forever. I hope to continue the long tradition of passing down God's grace, camp spirit and the overwhelming camaraderie that is found at Alta Mons as I look to mentor new and old counselors and campers this summer.
