All of our hikes are free & are open to the public everyday. We also have a horseshoe pit, a pond to fish in, creeks to play in, a basketball court, volleyball court, and a soccer net that are free of charge. The below activities, as well as the pool & ropes courses, are scheduled on a contract only basis. Please call 540-268-2409 to set up one or more of these activities for your retreat group to enjoy while at Alta Mons!

A great way to practice discipline and learn a new skill! We just had new archery range built by our gracious volunteers.

NATURE EDUCATION
$35/HOUR

Have you ever wanted someone to teach you a nature lesson? Alta Mons can do that! We offer nature lessons that are catered to your specific needs.

canoeing
$70/HOUR

Alta Mons has 4 canoes, paddles, & life jackets that provide a great introductory canoeing experience on our pond. The pond is located across from the Burrows Retreat Center, near the middle of camp. 

field games
$55/HOUR

Schedule some field games for your group! Selections can range from silly games to active games to mind games! Tell us what you want!

WAGON RIDES
$60/RIDE

Enjoy a scenic ride around camp old-fashioned style in one of our wagons.  The ride takes approximately 1 hour and can accommodate up to 30 people.  Take time to soak up the scenery and tell camp tales!

CAMPFIRES
$10

Each retreat building has a fire pit close by. For just $10 we will save you the hassle of starting your fire.

SWimming?

Swimming in the swimming pool! When days are hot take a dip in our pool. Available Memorial Day through Labor Day.
