MEREDITH SIMMONS PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Meredith was a camper at Alta Mons from 2003 to 2007. After taking several years away from camp, she came on summer staff in 2011 as a counselor and in 2013 became the Program Coordinator. In 2015, Meredith graduated from the University of Virginia with her degree in physics and began working at Alta Mons year round. Meredith also lives at camp and enjoys walking to work everyday. She frequently hikes to the falls and comes up with her best ideas while enjoying the beauty of Alta Mons.
When she's not at camp, she's most likely out hiking the beautiful mountains of Southwest Virginia. An avid hiker, backpacker, and Girl Scout, Meredith hopes to one day thru hike the entire Appalachian Trail. She also enjoys reading and the occasional physics problem.
BECCA IMBUR GUEST SERVICES COORDINATOR
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Becca found her way to Virginia through a long line of summer camps and retreat centers. She earned her undergrad degree in Outdoor Recreation at Ohio University where she fell in love with rock climbing, paddling, backpacking and the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains. Becca's love of the natural world led her to earn her Master's degree in Environmental Education at Prescott College while working as the Outdoor Education Coordinator at the Skelton 4H Center on Smith Mountain Lake. Becca loves all things camp and is excited in her new role as Guest Services Coordinator.
When Becca is not answering your phone calls and emails at Alta Mons, you can find her teaching book and paper arts, cooking something tasty in the kitchen, reading cheesy fiction or spending time in her art studio with her daughter, River.
