Hmm … honey child do ya know what time it is? It’s almost time for Camp Alta Mons Summer 2015!! This summer at Camp Alta Mons will be the most fun, exciting, and adventurous summer yet as we will have a blast doing camp activities and exploring what it means to be God’s Beautiful Creation!! If you aren’t pumped then you’d betta check yo’self before you wreck yo’self, because it’s going to be great!!
Hey there y’all, my name is Jonathan Crook and I am the Adventure Coordinator for Camp Alta Mons Summer Camp 2015!! I can’t tell you how excited and happy I am to be returning this year to camp! Last year I began my journey with Alta Mons as a junior high counselor. It was an amazing summer as I had the opportunity to lead great campers, make outstanding friends, and grow in my faith with the Lord. It was the best summer of my life, and I am truly honored and blessed to be returning as the Adventure Coordinator this year.
So Adventure Coordinator eh, what does he do? As the Adventure Coordinator, I will be working closely with the Trips Coordinator and facilitating the many different ropes courses at camp. Varying in their difficulty, the ropes courses can be some of the most challenging physical hurtles a camper has had to face in his/her life. It is my goal to help campers realize their inner-strength and natural ability to overcome and enjoy obstacles which at first seemed impossible. I think these skills of self-confidence and perseverance will help campers throughout many different aspects in their lives. Not only will I be at the ropes courses though, I will also be creating and leading adventurous and fun activities for campers throughout camp!
I truly feel that the Lord has called me to Alta Mons this summer! I can’t wait for all the fun games (minus duck-duck goose), dance parties, hay rides, Mother Larry's, three bears, what-are-the-odds, worship nights, awesome campers, and exciting adventures that lie ahead in the upcoming months. But most of all, I can’t wait for the Lord to work in the lives of the campers as they experience what promises to be their best summer at Camp Alta Mons!!
