It's getting closer!!!

I can’t believe the summer is almost here! It’s been a lot of work finishing up the day program and interviewing those last few applicants! Next week, you should see Alta Mons banners in the New River Valley area. It’s been a bit of a process since the banners needed to be cleaned, repaired and attached to poles. A few runs to Lowe’s and now the banners are looking nice!

We still need a few staff members, but I’m hoping they’ll fill up soon. I’ve been in contact with some potential staff members, but we can’t hire them until they apply!

I’m hoping that opportunities to recruit campers will come up. I finish my school year mid-May, so I’ll want to visit churches with a co-worker and encourage kids to sign up. I called churches this week so get approval for our banners and they were familiar with Alta Mons. I wonder if churchgoers also know about Alta Mons. If not, I’m sure they’d love to sign their kids up!

I’m really happy to see things come together! In less than a month, I’ll be at camp myself! I can’t wait to meet all the staff members and share ideas about programming with them. This summer is going to be awesome!
