It seems that our local Eagle Scouts use Alta Mons continuously for their projects which means upgrades to the Alta Mons campus! Recently, Eagle Scout Eli Motley from troop 720 began his project at the Hut. He has built a beautiful new cross, fire pit, alter, and wood shed for the worship area there.
Eli is a senior patrol leader who has been inducted into the Order of the Arrow and is dedicating the worship space to a very dear and remembered leader from his troop. We've seen trucks, gravel, pavers, and helpers drive to the Hut to help Eli accomplish this grand task, and soon the worship area will be complete! Eli and his team of volunteers are set to finish the grade of the landscape and sow the grass toward the end of December and the project should be completed January 5th when it will be inspected. Eli and his troop then plan to host a fire in the new worship area and dedicate it to the man it was built for.
After the completion and dedication of the project, Eli and Alta Mons welcome you to come and visit our beautiful new worship area!
