Hey there! My name is Cullen Cash and I will be the Pool Coordinator at Camp Alta Mons this summer. This will be my third summer as the Pool Coordinator and I am so excited to be back to a place that feels like home doing something that I love. Each summer has not only brought different obstacles but also has taught me different things. However, one thing has not changed and that is my love for the outdoors.
I love doing almost anything outside. My viewpoint is that if it can be done outside, it will be better that way (to an extent). Something that I have really grown to love doing outside is playing music whether it be guitar, banjo, or even piano (well maybe keyboard instead). There is just something about playing outside while listening to the “universal sound.” Over the last few years, I have really delved into the whole music thing. I think one thing that really inspired this was coming to camp and hearing the songs that I used to sing as a camper here as well as new songs that I just really feel embody Camp Alta Mons. Since my first year working at Alta Mons, I have fallen in love with not only the songs at camp but the meanings of these songs and the love campers have for these songs that they have learned in years past or maybe are just learning for the first time as well. There really is just something contagious about it.
I am beyond excited to see what kind of adventures and experiences this summer will hold, not only for myself but more importantly for the campers. I have been blessed with the ability to be here for three years and witness God’s love in the staff, campers, and really the entire community. Camp Alta Mons will always have a special spot in my heart for more reasons than I have time to write about in this blog. Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can’t Lose.
Yours in Christ,
Cullen Cash
